Dr Shane Selvanderan
Gastroenterologist & Interventional Endoscopist – The Alfred
Dr Shane Selvanderan is an Australian and internationally trained Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist. After completing specialist gastroenterology training, he undertook dedicated advanced interventional endoscopy fellowships at the Alfred Hospital and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He has public appointments at the Alfred Hospital and Eastern Health and is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Monash University.
He has a subspecialty interest and maintains an active clinical practice in the full spectrum of advanced interventional endoscopy procedures including ERCP, EUS, endoscopic resection of complex polyps and early GI tract cancers, and innovative third space endoscopy techniques such as endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM).
