Deputy Director - Victorian Adult Burns Service - The Alfred

Dr Dane Holden is the Deputy Director of the Victorian Adult Burns Service at The Alfred Hospital and is a full time Burns Surgeon. The Victorian Adult burns service is the busiest burns unit in Australia and New Zealand and treats approximately 450 inpatients per year as well as 1300 outpatients. 

He completed his General Surgery Training in 2017 through Monash Health and worked as a rural General Surgeon at Dubbo base hospital, NSW for 2 years prior to completing a fellowship in Burns Surgery at The Alfred. 

In addition to burns surgery he is interested in Medical education and is a senior lecturer at Monash University. He holds the additional qualifications of a Masters of Surgery as well as Masters of surgical Education.
