After completing medical school at Monash University in 2003, Mr Andrew Packiyanathan underwent surgical residency and training at Monash Health. He completed surgical training in 2013 and then continued subspeciality oesophagogastric and bariatric training at the Alfred Hospital for another 2 years.
Andrew currently works at the Alfred Hospital where he is attached to the oesophagogastric & bariatric unit and the acute general surgical unit.
He is the supervisor of pre-vocational surgical training at the Alfred Hospital and is passionate about mentoring young aspiring surgeons.
